What They Asked For

The landlord commissioned ACS Coatings to complete a full internal and external redecoration of the warehouse facility. As part of this, all surfaces needed to be finished in white to create a bright, clean appearance that would appeal to prospective tenants.

Specifically, the scope of work included:

• Redecoration of all external and internal brickwork
• Treatment of all blockwork surfaces
• Complete redecoration of office areas
• A uniform white finish throughout to maximise commercial appeal.

And, above all, the works needed to be completed quickly without compromising on quality or durability.

What We Did

ACS delivered a comprehensive redecoration programme covering more than 12,000m² of surfaces. Beginning with thorough preparation, our team addressed all brickwork, blockwork, and internal office areas to create suitable substrates for coating.

After preparation was complete, we applied new white coating systems across the entire facility. The scale of the project required careful planning and robust application methods to achieve a clean, uniform finish that met the landlord’s requirements.

Our team therefore worked systematically through each area, treating external elevations, internal warehouse spaces, and office zones in sequence. This maintained quality control and meant that the project time wasn’t too long.

How We Did It

As per the landlord’s timeframe, the project was delivered over an intensive 2-week programme. A team of 6 operatives worked extended shifts to maximise productivity and meet the deadline without compromising quality.

Before coating commenced, extensive surface preparation took place across all areas. This involved cleaning, repairs where necessary, and priming to create the ideal foundation for the white coating system. Such preparation proved essential to achieving both the visual quality and long-term durability that the landlord expected.

Airless spray application was used due to the need for speed and consistency. This allowed for rapid coverage of large surface areas while maintaining an even finish. And for more detailed areas and varied substrates, roller application ensured complete coverage and proper adhesion.

Throughout the works, the team maintained clear communication with the client regarding progress and any site-specific challenges. By adapting to the different surfaces, we kept the project on track and delivered everything to the client’s specs.

The Result

Within the 2-week timeframe, the warehouse was fully transformed into a bright, clean, and commercially presentable asset. The uniform white finish dramatically improved the building’s visual appeal and created exactly the market-ready appearance the landlord was looking for.

Beyond aesthetics, the new coating system now offers durable protection that will maintain its appearance over time. This reduces the likelihood of remedial works being needed before a new tenant takes occupation.

Most importantly, the landlord could confidently return the building to market immediately upon completion. And as a result, the transformation positioned the property competitively and demonstrated the facility’s potential to prospective tenants.
